Data Retention and Deletion Policy

How long each kind of data is kept and how deletion works.

• Active account: account, paper-trading, journal, learning and usage data are kept while the account exists.
• Deletion on request: ask the Grievance Officer; the administrator deletes the account and its paper-trading data from the live system, unless the law requires us to keep something.
• Broker credentials: you can delete them yourself in Account at any time; they are also removed when the account is deleted.
• Factory reset: the administrator can erase all member data at once; this is recorded in the administrator's log.
• Sessions: expire after 7 days.
• Logs: rotate automatically (a limited number of files of limited size) and older entries are overwritten.
• Backups and snapshots: administrator backups and the hosting provider's disk snapshots may still contain deleted data until they are deleted or expire. Backups are kept privately and used only for disaster recovery.
